REPEAT AFTER ME

" I promise that I will check my email at least 3 times a week. If I need to, I will sign up for my time on a computer at the Adult Ed Center or at the library."

"I promise that I will come to the next session with my assignment completed."

"I promise that for the next week, I will use the Internet to learn or reinforce a skill that I need."

"I promise to e-mail Leecy and give her ideas on how to make our website more and more useful (bulletin board, more sections, improved links, a student or teacher section dedicated to original work, etc...)"

ASSIGNMENTS FOR TEACHERS

Develop a lesson plan using the template and including at least one web assignment as a class or homework exercise. Submit it to me by Wednesday of next week so that everyone can view it in our next session.

Choose five of the websites we covered today or find five new ones that teach something you or your students need to know. Write a brief summary of the site, adding information that would be helpful for other instructors on using the site.

ASSIGNMENT FOR STUDENTS

During the week, as you are taught something in any area of interest, go to your student page on the Internet and find a resource to help you reinforce that skill. Ask your teacher to help you find good sites or go browsing. Draw a simple chart and keep a record of all the sites you visited and what you learned from them.
